{challenge 21} day 2

Thursday, September 10

"A journey of a thousand steps begins with a single step." - Lao-Tzu

That was the inspirational quote for DAY 2 from Rhonna yesterday, for all of the "21ers" who have accepted the challenge. Focus word: "Journey". My "art" incorporated the focus word, (printed from Rhonna's site), and the use of chalks, pink crepe paper tape and, of course,...a black pen. Once again, pretty simple. (Which is just what I need to be able to get anything done these days).

Day 2 recap:
OXYGEN MASK: Didn't have a "full hour" all to myself but I was able to complete the art journaling for the challenge and I layed down for about 20 minutes after J got home from work.

FOCUS ON THE POSITIVE, FIND THE GOOD, BE GRATEFUL & LAUGH OUTLOUD: I don't believe I actually "genuinely" laughed outloud yesterday but I did get a super genuine smile on my face during Ella's bath. (she was being defiant about wanting to put her mouth on the faucet and I kept telling her "no"...she turned it into a game, of course. I was getting frustrated and after about the 20th "no" and her 20th reaction of a fake cry with a smirk on her face - she turns around with the biggest and brightest smile I'd seen all day long. I couldn't help but bust out smiling...and actually...now that I think about it - I DID laugh outloud! I remember thinking "you aren't supposed to be laughing because now she's REALLY not going to take you seriously". (that little turkey). So...yea! I did laugh outloud! woohoo.

NO SUGAR, NO CARBS, NO CAFFEINE: Successful! Temptation was not as bad as day 1. And J is still plugging along as well.

So...what does DAY 3 have in store? (holding pointer finger in the air indicating "wait a minute"). Ok...I just "peeked" at Rhonna's site and the focus word is "effective". Awesome!

It's Thursday people! Get your groove on. If I can get my groove on while battling an irritating cold and operating on little sleep - I know you can do it!

**Did you notice I typed in "normal" format for this post? (no lowercase)? It was difficult but I got through it. *wink*
