BRANDING | Be Brilliant Art Print :: Blog Fete 2013

Skipping my Recipe Radar post to touch on something I attended a couple of weeks ago...

I attended the Mix and Mingle portion of a local blogging conference called Blog Fete.
It was a Friday night filled with some talented ladies I hadn't seen in awhile...
in addition to meeting/making new friends.

Since I wouldn't be attending the actual event on Saturday, I knew I wanted to bring along something simple and inspirational to share with the ladies there that evening.

The "Be Brilliant" Art Print I posted previously.

I had the 5x7 Art Print professionally printed and then inserted it into a clear cello envelope.
I tucked a business card in the back, attached a coordinating "Be Brilliant" button I created using Shrinky Dink paper and tied it off with a pretty ribbon.

I started adding Mod Podge Dimensional Magic to the buttons but then decided to save myself some time and skip this process; for this project they looked cute either way. However, I do think the Dimensional Magic adds protection to the printed design.

It was a simple thing to do but I love that the inspirational art print is a keepsake as it can be framed and serves as a reminder of the fun evening we all shared together!!

It was a fun night!
One of the highlights of my night was meeting Mindy Cone - author of the Gourmet French Macarons book!
I also got to see my sweet, talented friend Kori and we had a blast catching up!!

What a weekend!!
I'm so happy to report I survived the festivities of our Fall Family Picnic - which turned out so fun!!
AND... little did you know but my two older girls also had Homecoming that same night!
I'll be sharing more details from both events!!
