Darling...right?!
Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with us Lisa!!
Everything turned out so adorable!!
I'm sure Taylor, (and her friends), was ecstatic to have such a fun birthday party!

My favorite party details...
• Ice Cream Container used as favor boxes
• "Mmmmm" stamped on the wooden popsicle sticks used to make the Ice Cream Bar Cake Pops
• Decorative paper wraps on the ice cream cones
• Faux ice cream cones made with tulle, dangling from the ceiling
• Adorable ice cream cone cake pops
• Custom made awning to fit the dessert table (Wow!!)
• Make-shift awning on the wall created with a roll of fax paper and 8.5 x 11 paper (SO creative)

Here's the scoop as told by Lisa...
"I threw this party for my daughter’s 6 th birthday. She loves sweets, especially ice cream. I began my inspiration search on all the party blogs. As soon as I saw the cake and favors from one charming party, I knew I would go with that theme and add my own creativity to the mix. I then started by creating an ice cream parlor shop logo to be used throughout the party. From there I designed the rest of the party using the colors from the logo. I bought ribbon from Michaels (all of it was on sale! Yippie!) and fell in love with the pom pom ball garland that they had. I made ribbon curtains on either side of the doors as well as the fireplace framing the pic of my daughter. I found a tutorial for the super cute tulle pom pom balls and added them to sugar cones to create a chandelier above the ice cream sundae table.

The favors were one of my favorite party elements. I bought the ice cream containers from Sweet Bliss Containers on Amazon. I used the party logo for the top and added a ribbon and spoon. Inside was an ice cream cone sugar cookie, ice cream lip balm, M&M’s (my daughter’s favorite) and some Baskin Robbins Mint Chocolate Chip hard candies. My step-dad built the awning that would go over the sweets table. We added material from Joanns and cut out the scallops. We also made our own make-shift awning using a roll of fax paper that we cut scallops from and added pink and white 8.5 x 11 paper for the stripes. (you can see this in the background of the picture with the chandelier) The cake was made by my mom and copied from a cake by One Charming Party (thank you!). I made the cookies, cake pops and homemade ice cream sandwiches."

Although school is getting ready to start back on Monday for us here...
With high temperatures still in the forecast...
ice cream is going to be a welcome treat for some time.
A back-to-school Ice Cream Social would certainly be appropriate! *wink*
Or just surprise your kids after their first week of school to a special back-to-school dessert after dinner one night.

KEEPiNG iT REAL
I'm in denial at how quickly the summer has passed.
It seemed extra short this year for some reason?
My kids are NOT excited about going back.

Oh, I really do think it is too soon for school to start (we won't tell the kids). It is still summer here, wink!
