SNAPSHOTS | Ella - October and November

Tuesday, December 3

Just wanted to quickly check in to let you know I'm still here! Ha!!
Thanksgiving was great - aside from Ella being sick the whole time
I did not participate in Black Friday and Cyber Monday was not on my radar.

I've been crafting with Ella and working on some fun projects.
These projects include glitter, hot cocoa, scrapbooking, crafting and treat making.
Not necessarily in that order but regardless I can't wait to share these fun things with you.

Since I still haven't gone through all of the photos from Ella's party…
I figured it's a perfect time to share some snapshots I haven't gotten around to sharing
from the months of October and November. (Boy did those months fly by).

These are random photos I took with my "big girl" camera.
I've been trying to be better at taking less pictures with my phone camera, which is so much more convenient, and instead taking more photos with my real camera.

Maybe you'll be inspired to do the same?

BREAKFAST WITH ELLA
This is Ella on any given morning wearing her favorite pajamas. (Toss up between the monkey nightgown she has on, and two other princess nightgowns). She usually sits up on the counter while I prepare her "usual": 1 scrambled egg inside two pieces of heart toast, fruit (blueberries are her favorite), vitamins and either a cup of milk or watered down juice. I love the photo of her showing me her princess band-aid. Boy does she LOVE band-aids!!!

HALLOWEEN COSTUME
Ella really wants to be a cheerleader. (thanks to her Daddy always egging it on). I thought Halloween would be the perfect opportunity for her to get a "REAL" cheerleading outfit with Dad's favorite team and she loved it. She practiced "Rah! Rah! Rah! Shish Boom Bah! Gooooo Cowboys!" leading up to Halloween night. (and she worked on her splits too)! Ha!!

FALL PUMPKIN PATCH
Ella and I spent the afternoon, just the two of us, at a local pumpkin patch at the end of October. We had a blast. The highlight for her was the deer she got to see - and it licked her hand. She also loved the bounce house and getting her face painted with a Unicorn on it. (It was her first time having that done). Not sure why the guy chose to use so much "black" face paint on a sweet little 5 year old but whatev! She loved it. I made the mistake of allowing her to get that done first and then letting her jump on the bounce house. Needless to say it was all over her face for the pictures I insisted on taking of her with the pumpkin we picked out as we were leaving. She also loved the "Duck Run" they had set up where the kids used water pumps to make the ducks race. I loved the interactive mobile snow cone machine - which would've been perfect for Ella's Rainbow Unicorn party by the way. *wink* They were booked though. Next party!

PARTY INVITATIONS BY ELLA
Ella was fully engaged her party planning this year and I love that she was able to address the envelopes to her party guests. Soooo cute!

ELLA'S FIRST FIELD TRIP
I got to go on Ella's first field trip with her to the Corn Maze. The field trip also included her first ride on a "REAL" school bus. I sat behind her on the way home and took a couple of "phone" pictures of her looking out the window and sitting so properly in her seat. I love the viewpoint of looking down at her disheveled hair - a sure sign of the fun she had that day. I love her!  The full-day field trip was a long day for my little 1/2 day pre-schooler. All of the kids were exhausted from all of the fun. Ella loved the zip line. I was a proud mom as I watched so many of the kids too scared to try it and Ella just climbed right on up and had no qualms about it. (the kids disliked the actual Corn Maze, by the way). *wink*

KEEPiNG iT REAL
Not one single Christmas decoration or light is up at our house yet.
Unless you count the tangled strands of lights sitting in one of the chairs in our living room.
Feeling REALLY behind since it seems like all of our neighbors put their lights up this weekend.
Oh well! We're going to get our tree on Saturday!
